Title:  Lenox Station MP 79
Description:  No. 8619 is a model SW-8, diesel-electric switcher built by the Electro-Motive Division (EMD) of General Motors in LaGrange, IL. It was built in February 1953 and carries serial number 16194. The locomotive weighs 115 Tons and is equipped with a model 8-567-B, eight-cylinder diesel engine, which generates 800 horsepower and 57,650 pounds tractive effort. 8619 was built for the New York Central Railroad as number 9619 and designated class DES-18C. It became Penn-Central number 8619 in 1968, then Conrail number 8619 in 1976. BSRM purchased number 8619 from Conrail in 1985.

Description:  Southbound 1302 HRS. Mead's move into technical and specialty papers dates to the acquisition of the Hurlbut Paper Company (South Lee, Massachusetts) in 1957. Now known as the Specialty Paper division, it manufacturers a wide variety of papers used in decorative laminates for counter tops and furniture, as well as for other industrial applications.
