NKP 0-8-0 #272 - Nickel Plate Road
Title:  NKP 0-8-0 #272 - Nickel Plate Road
Description:  Looking more like a road locomotive than a yard goat, its stubby wheels give it away however as it stis in front of the Bellevue, OH, roundhouse. Built by Alco-Pittsburgh as Wheeling & Lake Erie #5102 (serical #60154), it moved over to the Nickel Plate Road roster as NKP 272. The yard switcher was retired and sold for scrap on 1/19/1962 to Luntz Iron & Steel Company. Howard W. Ameling photo
