Description:
Built by EMD in August of 1947 as PRR #5851, the E7A unit was merged into the Penn Central conglomerate. Still sporting the former PRR keystone logo, the loco already has been renumbered PC #4211. The huge "PC" logo will follow later. Unknown photographer.

Penn Central 4211
Description:
In post-Amtrak Penn Central days I seldom saw E units in the east (other than in Boston and North Jersey commuter service and I only visited Boston once). I was fascinated when they came east in the early days of Conrail but quickly they went into storage. Here are some in stnrage at Harrisburg in February 1977.
