Description:  Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad 0-8-0 Class F-1 549, date location, and photographer unknown, print by Tom Klinger, Chuck Zeiler collection. The February 1952 Locomotive Assignment Sheet shows this locomotive assigned to the Beardstown Division. Number 549 was the last of ten USRA design 0-8-0's allotted to the CB&Q during World War I (road #'s 540-549). It was built by the Brooks Works of Alco in 1919 (c/n 61242) and sold for scrap in August 1956. The outline of larger cab numbers can be seen under the smaller numbers visible.
