| The Missouri Pacific abandoned its track from New Iberia east to Garden City in 1970, in favor of trackage rights over the Espee's parallel SUNSET ROUTE, and these trackage rights were abandoned in 1980. This line had been built by the Iberia, St. Mary & Eastern and this view, facing northwest, shows where the MP track had been on the median of West Third Street in Franklin, Louisiana. Franklin is the Seat of St. Mary Parish. |
