Beautiful shot of Canadian National 4-8-2 Mountain type loco #6030 highballing around a curve with its passenger train. Built by the Canadian Locomoitve Company in August of 1924, the good looking and powerful loco was put to use in fast passenger service at first to fill the severe shortage of power the CN experienced in 1923. Specs - serial #1758, class U-1-b, 73" drivers, 210 psi boiler pressure, 26x30" cylinders, engine weight of 354,300 lb, tractive effort of 49,589 lb.
