The Decatur Junction railroad made an appearance while I was in town. Here PREX 1607 & PREX 1608, marked for Pioneer Lines, head north towards the Canadian National yard with a single tank car in tow. Currently passing the newly upgraded PTC signals a few yards off the WABIC Diamonds. The 1607 was built for the Seaboard Air Line in Nov. 1955 and turns 64 this year. The 1608 was built for the Atlantic Coast Line in Nov. 1951 and turns 68 this year. A good looking pair of engines that should be collecting their social security. |
