GNWR RS1 #30 - Genesee & Wyoming RR  Contributor's Pick!
Built by Alco in May of 1955, this RS1 is still wearing its original orange and black paint scheme so this photo must be before its red, white & blue repaint for the Bicentennial. According to "thedieselshop" website, this unit was sold sometime after the repaint to first Cornith & Counce RR and then to the Central New England RR. Date is approximate and the location is based on other photos of the 1970's. This is a Forrest Trittenbach photo.
