ICG caboose 199607 was on the rear of a northbound train stopped along the Mississippi River in Baton Rouge. It was probably waiting to get into North Baton Rouge Yard. Notice how the railroad track works its way up to the top of the levee. The red brick building on the right is the Louisiana Arts and Science Museum, which includes the former IC depot; and the passenger cars under the platform are no longer there. The tall building in the center of the photo is the Louisiana state capitol. |
