| Former PRR GG1 4846 at the shops, Wilmington, Delaware on an unknown day in April 1979, Ektachrome by Chuck Zeiler. I'm not sure what this was, sometimes you shoot first and ask questions later. I failed to ask the obvious question after shooting this photo, so here's my best guess: There appears to be a duct pointing toward the track, I would suppose that it was to clear the track of snow. One source indicates that this was once #4846 and that it was converted to a snowblower for the Wilmington Shops. |
