| Burlington Northern E9Am 9905 westbound at Aurora, Illinois on July 13, 1982, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Built as CB&Q E8 9967 in August 1952, it became BN 9967 on March 2, 1970. It was sold to the West Suburban Mass Transit District on April 1, 1977 and leased back to the BN. It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen during May 1978 to E9Am 9905, and worked in Chicago commuter service until retired July 1992. I cannot find info about the final disposition. |
