Crossing the Santa Ana River  Contributor's Pick!
Union Pacific statcks cross the Santa Ana River on the BNSF bridge as they move towards Colton Crossing. This multi-span girder bridge is a mishmash of girder styles, I'm assuming due it being upgraded at some point? This train had already crossed the Santa Ana River on the UP's magnificent arch bridge in Riverside. Prior to that, I'd seen it in Rowland Heights. Took it around five hours to go 36 miles. From radio chatter, I understood that it was re-crewed twice.
