Description:  A couple of railroaders were looking on as Sperry Rail Service car 124 was being moved onto the New Orleans Public Belt turntable at the railroad’s engine terminal. The 124 had been built by the Electro-Motive Corp. and the St. Louis Car Co. in August 1925 as Milwaukee Road motorcar 141, but that order was cancelled, so it was sold as Lehigh Valley 20 and was purchased by SRS in June 1937.

Description:  Sharp looking "doodlebug" reborn as a MOW car. Built in 11/1925 by the St Louis Car Co as a passenger doodlebug for the Lehigh Valley RR, it eventually was purchased and rebuilt as this MOW car. Still sporting its grill in front and solid color places the date somewhere from the 1960's up to the 1980's when a newer model was introduced. No photographer or location listed. With Mike Woodruff's help on another photo like this one, I have set the location tentatively as Mineola, NY.
