Title:
CB&Q 4-6-0 Class K-1 615
Description:
Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad 4-6-0 Class K-1 615, date, location, and photographer unknown, print by Don Gruber, Chuck Zeiler collection. The location and date are based on information from the book, Steam Locomotives Of The Burlington Route. Built by the Rogers Locomotive And Machine Works in March 1892 (c/n 4680) as Burlington & Missouri River Railroad number 283, it was renumbered into the CB&Q system during 1904 to 615 and classed as K-1. It was assigned to the Saint Joseph Division as of June 1, 1935, sold to the Saint Louis and Hannibal Railroad in June 1937. It is seen here with the main rod disconnected and placed on the running board.
