Amtrak GG1 922 |
Description: |
Amtrak GG1 922 at Morrisville, Pennsylvania sometime in December 1974, Kodachrome by an unknown photographer, Chuck Zeiler collection. Number 922 was built by the Juniata Shops at Altoona, Pennsylvania during September 1942 as PRR 4928 (c/n 4398) using Westinghouse electrical gear, later becoming PC 4928. Although it appears to be PC 922, it is in fact on Amtrak's roster, renumbered 922, and later 4922. It was scrapped upon retirement. |
