Z63515 |
Description: |
While on CSX, the Ashland's train is CSX symbol Z635 (followed by the date, as with ALL CSX symbols) and has to make a reverse move to go from the Westbound Receiving Yard over to their own track. As you can see in the background, the Z635 has a "Restricting" signal for his crossover/backup move. Little did I know that, these units, were built for one of my favorite railroad, the Monongahela Railway. On the MGA the ASRY 2023 was the MGA 2003 and the ASRY 2024 was the MGA 2004. It's really spiffy knowing that these units are still around, as, when they were built, they were the heaviest GP38s built. |

Diamonds in the fog |
Description: |
This is one of the Ashland / NS diamonds in Masfield. The track running from the Top Left to the Bottom Right is the Ashland, which used to be the B&O's Lake Erie Division. The track running from the Bottom left towards the Top Right is a former Erie Lackawanna line, now NS's Harding Industrial Track on the west side of town, but on the east side of town, it's Ashland's "original" line to Ashland. |
