Description: |
Milwaukee Road Gp40 #2005 was parked in a string of locos next to the engine shop at the Bensenville Yard. Hoosier rail fan Dick Berry caught the monent while on one of his many trips to the yard. It was built by EMD in Octover of 1966 originally as MILW 186. The loco was eventually sold to FEC. Current disposition is unknown. This photo is from the original negative by rail fan Dick Berry. The negative is part of my collection now. |

Description: |
Hoosier rail fan Dick Berry found several GP40's parked outside the engine shop at the Bennsenville Yard on one of his many trips there. Built by EMD in 10/1966, it was originally MILW 188. After the Milwaukee collapse, the loco landed on the Soo Line roster as their #2008. This photo is from the original negative by rail fan Dick Berry. The negative is part of my collection now. |

Standing out in the Bennsenville Yard was MILW GP40 #2041. Built by EMD in 1/1967 as MILW 168, it was later renumberd MILW 2041. After the collapse of the Milwaukee Road, the loco moved over to the Soo Line roster as SOO #2041.
