Here is a five-page camera study by Mr. Don Wood entitled "Piggyback Performance: Pennsy's TT1." It was published originally in the July 1960 issue of "Trains" magazine, pages 46-50. This article recounts the author's 900-mile journey on the PRR's Trailer Train #1 from Kearny, New Jersey, to Chicago on 06 February 1960 ~ in 25 hours and 40 minutes! * Restored Album *

Here is page one of a five-page camera study by Don Wood entitled "Piggyback Performance: Pennsy's TT1." It was published originally in the July 1960 issue of "Trains" magazine, page 46. Photo Caption: "GG1's prepare to move Pennsy's TT1 out of Kearny, N.J." Shown here (R to L) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4804 and another unit whose road number is not recorded. Both are GG-1 (2-C-C-2) electrics. #4804 was constructed by General Electric in June of 1935, rated at 4,620 horsepower, and retired in June of 1966 after 31 years of faithful service.
