Album Info:Canadian Pacific East Region Freight Subdivision CPF528 - Richmondville Siding (south siding switch) (from Brooker Hollow Road og) West Richmondville, New York, USA 29 May 2015 - 15:34 EDT CP 939 (NS205) NS #1066 [GE SD70ACe] Finally! Deb and I were supposed to catch the NYS&W FRA Inspection Train on Starrucca Viaduct in Lanesboro, PA. But the timing didn't work out. Then after learning late morning of the CSX OCS train coming into Selkirk; we decided to try an catch it at Rotterdam Junction. After hearing 939 call the CPF485 signal to CP Dispatcher, I recognized the loco number 1066 as the New York Central Heritage Unit., which I had missed a few days earlier on the same line. When Deb and I realized we had missed the CSX OCS, she and I hastily packed our gear and took off south on I-88 in hopes to get ahead of 939 which we did by Cobleskill. Not wanting to miss it; we went ahead to West Richmondville, where we had to wait for it to climb Richmondville Hill (which it struggled to do with a single locomotive), and then get out of the way for 931 and 253. Then it would take the main again; and we finally see #1066 round the curve out of West Richmondville. My second heritage unit. LOL! The chase was on! © 2015 - Philip M. Goldstein
