Men at work on Milwaukee Road 261 |
Description: |
What we often forget about when photographing, is how much human labor there is involved with all aspects of keeping railroading going. I often wished I had photographed more of the people than I did. This is a BNSF sponsored northbound fan trip from Lincoln, NE to Minneapolis, MN in late summer 1998 at Sioux City, IA |

Meanwhile, down in Texas |
Description: |
99% of my shots are from the MN/WI area, but this 1976 southern bicentennial steam engine is so impressive, that I decided I needed to post a shot of it. This is the Texas State Railroad and this is outside their shop building. This engine is too, big to run on the 25 mile Texas State, so it resides, quite handsomely, as a great static display. This unit ran the southern states during the 1976 Freedom Train runs. |
